Gerardo Mari (Argentina 1977). Designer, inventor and musician with a degree in Industrial Design from the National University of Córdoba. In 2003 he started his own production of lap steel electric guitars made of aluminium.and in 2004 he founded Dozo together with Ricardo Mielniczuk to produce his own armchair designs. After almost ten years in front of the Product Design Department at Artemide he founded his own studio. Gerardo Mari Studio is a creative, visionary and multidisciplinary place where designers experiment daily with new techniques, blending tradition and innovation, to make new trends, ideas and physical products come to life. Gerardo Mari is a visiting professor and has given workshops at the University of Venice (IUAV), the Polytechnic School of Design in Milan (SPD), the European Institute of Design in Madrid (IED) and the Catholic University of Santa Fe in Argentina (UCSF). In these workshops he teaches technology for design using technologies, materials and production methods as sources of inspiration for new projects.
