Paolo D Arrigo
Born in Rome in 1967, he experiences design as an alchemy of nature and hi-tech where form is not aesthetic invention, but the outcome of a process that measures itself against the constraints of matter and pushes them beyond. In Paolo D'Arrigo's design, each material is a map to be traveled by being guided by its own signs, following its implicit directions and revealing those yet to be written. Active in the world of associationism, since 2008 he has been a member of ADI, of which he chaired the Lazio delegation from 2015 to 2017. From 2001 to 2004 he led the association In Forma Azione. He teaches and has taught Product Design to students at AANT, IED and Sapienza University of Rome. He has won numerous awards and prizes in Italy and abroad, including: German Design Award, A'Design Award, European Product Design Award, IDA Design Award and several selections in the ADI Design Index.
