"His cultural training is marked by studies conducted under the guidance of Alberto Viani at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. He then attended the Industrial Design Higher Course promoted by the Faculty of Architecture of Venice. His professional activity began early, during his studies: in those years, in fact, he designed and created valuable objects for decorative art exhibitions organized in various European countries. In the following years, Berti reveals himself as a designer gifted with both remarkable creative abilities and a strong aesthetic sense, his projects reveal his artistic origins, they are never the result of banal technical intuitions. He always manages to easily find the most correct synthesis between form and function, at the same time exploiting the expressive capacities of each material, even if poor. The search for simplification without neglecting detail, in home furnishings and objects in general, are the dictates of his design; the result of this way of proceeding leads to the creation of elements capable of possessing a soul that binds them in some way to the history and environment that surrounds us ... strong objects, to some extent traditional, but which induce, almost inadvertently , to progress in knowing how to see things."
