Mauro Olivieri (1959) graduated in architecture in Genoa, and in 1986 he opened up a studio: Laboratorio Maio. From then on, he has been working in the field of visual and interior design, communication and food design. He is a researcher and brand designer of territorial systems. In 2006, he was one of the founders of the ADI Food Design delegation. At the European Design Institute, he is a teacher of "food of the territory" and "food production". He received the ADI INDEX 2011 award for the Campotti project. His projects are aware of the most important signs related to the purest sense of production, with the aim of creating products that make daily life better. He works in the field of lighting design interpreting the topic of light in terms of sustainability, production and technology.
