We wanted to radically rethink the lamp as an object. To act by subtraction, without arriving at extreme minimalism. The ferrules with their material presence soften the rigor of the lamp, underlining its decorative character (L+R Palomba). Palomar offers two different types of lighting: intense light aimed at the ceiling, as in a traditional luminator; and softer light sent downward, spreading through the cylinders that form the base of the lamp. The components of the lamp, inserted one inside the other, conceal and reveal the function. The first two translucent cylinders, send soft, ambient light. Palomar is a minimal object that creates an interplay of relationship and proportions with furnishings. The metal ferrules add a decorative feature enhancing the composition of the lamp in a very discreet way. Floor lamp with semi-diffused and directional up and down light. The lamp body consists of three cylinders in PVC and PMMA. The upper one does not allow the light to shine through, focusing it upwards, while the two lower opaline cylinders diffuse the light underneath. The round base is painted white. The lamp is designed for two retrofit PAR E27 LED light bulbs. Black cable and on/off switch.
